Everyone wants to enjoy good health but sometimes people do not know what they should do to maintain good health.

People sometimes eat too much, believing that they should consume all they can to stay healthy. They do not not realize that they may be eating a lot of the foods that are harmful for them.

The result of such thinking is overweight or obesity; it is obvious that an overweight person has eaten too much of the inappropriate foods or has eaten well but haven’t taken enough exercise. Without any doubt healthy diet and exercise go together.

Excess eating and lack of physical activity can have serious consequences. It causes not only overweight but also results in more severe condition, known as obesity.

It is belived that obesity is a very perilous health condition. It is marked by an excessive amount of fat in the adipose tissue of the skin. The exact look of this is alarming to people who are not overweight, but people who got used to this condition do not pay any special attention to it.

Consuming the wrong foods is responsible for the condition, and if a person has a big appetite and is not accustomed to exercise there is a huge risk that she or he would suffer from obesity.

LOOKING OBESE

The excess amount of fat in one’s body is easily seen in the skin. Particular areas under the skin where fat deposits are usually present are in the waist line, thighs and arms. When a person actually starts taking on
a different way of walking, and if it is really observable, it can be stated that this person is most likely to be  obese.

There is a number of medical techniques that measure the amount of fat in skin of people in order to find out whether they suffer from obesity or not. However, people do not really need a medical method to state if a particular person is obese or not. It is obvious when somebody’s figure is completely out of proportion.

OBESITY & OVERWEIGHT

Overweight is less advanced and severe condidtion than obesity. This condition also means that a person has excess amount of fat on his or her body. However, the situation is slightly better than in case of obesity because people can lower the intake of fat and other substances to reduce weight.

Physical activity is very helpful. However, obesity is a different condition and its sufferers require much more effort to achieve reduction in weight.

It is commonly known that both obesity and overweight are harmful. This is due to the fact that being obese or overweight means that a person must have a high level of cholesterol. This would mean that such
a person is at high risk of heart problems.

ESTIMATING ONE’S HEALTH

It is claimed that males and females should not exceed particular waist measurements. For females, a waist measurement more than 35 inches (88 cm) is not healthy; for males, a waits measurement should not be more than 40 inches (102 cm).
