There are several disorders that had been previously misdiagnosed. This is caused by the fact that some of them have similar symptoms.

That’s why at first observation, nobody can really say what problem a person has. The only way to diagnose properly is to observe the person, and review progress reports. In some cases interviewing has appeared to be successful.

What’s more, there are numerous strategies that may be used. But ADHD is a condition that is easy to diagnose. This results from the fact that it is fairly obvious when a person has problems with concentrating on work. Schoolchildren should be observed more cautiously just in case they are simply naughty and really able to learn and concentrate without drugs.

ADHD is a condition in which a person cannot focus for long periods of time. For these children it is extremely difficult to sit in one place, as they feel the need of moving around constantly. If they do not have much of an urge to move physically, then they may manifest their attention deficit in the form of not being able to focus while sitting in front of a teacher.

However, if the same students had to sit and concentrate on their work, they would progress as well as any student. This proves that ADHD students are perfectly normal people, not retarded at all.

If people with ADHD were retarded, they wouldn’t be able to complete the same tasks as others. But we must remember that the same tasks are assigned to them under treatment in the form of shorter assignments. Thanks to it, ADHD patients are able to attempt tasks that are equally complex, but have shorter time-frames.

ADHD is a disorder that strikes both children and adults. All ADHD patients are able to lead normal lives. There may be many people in our surrounding suffering with ADHD and we may not even know it. That’s because they are absolutely normal people. The only problem they have is that they cannot concentrate for a longer time on tasks they are given.

People with ADHD do not have the ability to focus on what other people are doing, and that’s when one gets a hint of the problem. If ADHD is not treated, pupils may lose interest in what they are doing, and be left behind.

The disorder will affect everything a person does and will make them unmotivated. It may be dangerous and should be nipped in the bud.

People used to misunderstand ADHD; they simply thought that children are either retarded or simply unwilling to learn. Some times students were beat up because they were not able to achieve their tasks. This led to the ruination of many lives.

However, studies concerning ADHD revealed that people with ADHD are perfectly fine mentally and physically.
