Meridia, a weight-loss medicine available by prescription, is created for people who want to lose at least 30 pounds. It works in a way that people feel full, which is a signal to stop eating.

A laparoscopic surgeon at Kendall Regional Medical Center, Dr. Magaly Rodriguez, says Meridia is not a good choice for someone who has only 10 or 20 pounds to lose. ‘’You can lose that with calorie restriction and exercise'’ - she claims.
