Most of women suffer from breast pain from time to time. The most common reason is the menstrual cycle and the hormonal changes connected with it. According to Sandhya Pruthi, M.D., a breast-health specialist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn, in that case there is nothing to worry about. However, “If breast pain is persistent, affects just one area, is associated with a lump or changes in the skin or breast, or is so severe that it interferes with your daily life, see a doctor.”- she warns.

Although medicines effectively relieve cyclic pain, they can cause unwanted side effects. Pruthi also recommends some alternative pain-relief solutions such as hot or cold compress once a day, wearing a sports bra while you sleep and decreasing or eliminating the consumption of caffeine.

It is also known that the relief can be provided by taking evening primrose oil and vitamin E every day. The proper dose is 400 IU of vitamin E once a day, and later twice a day. If it does not bring relief, you can add 1,000 milligrams of evening primrose oil three times a day. If it helped after 3-4 months, itâ??s time to stop.
